Trail County: Knott, Floyd , Magoffin, Brethitt

Trail Starts: Top of hill on Rt. 2029

Trail Ends: Decoy in Breathitt County on Ky rt. 542

Trail Length: 20 miles

Directions: From Prestonsburg Take U.S. 23 south to Junction of 23 and Rt 80. Go left on RT. 80

and go 20 miles to Knott County line. Go two more miles and take a right on Rt 2029. Go two miles

till road forks and go right. Go to top of the hill on Rt 2029 and take gravel road on left.

Where to Park:: Top of hill on 2029

Trail Rules: Must have current membership, don’t litter, bring garbage bag, must pay membership

yearly. Must Pay membership unless special permission is granted.

Trail Cost: 75 dollars a year

Comments: Middle fork is 20 miles of creek ride all the way to decoy in Breathitt County. Several

trails branch off middle ford with all levels of difficulties. Roughest is little fire Squall, wear a helmet.

Comments2: Middle fork and quicksand is leased to middle fork riding club. 1500 acres. Had to

lease it because UK agriculture was going to take it over thus 75 dollar a year fee.
